  • The Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities sets the required course length for the Nurse Aide Competency and Training Program at 75 clock hours. Fees for the State Certification Examination are the responsibility of the student and must be paid before the school schedules the graduate for tesing. The fee for the test is set by the State Board. As of February, 2008 the fee is $83.00 and is not included as tuiton or fees.
